Circulation Service

The issue & return of books are fully automated on Koha-Library Management Software. The email facility related to issue/return of books, overdue charges & pending dues, new arrivals in library is also provided to the students.

Library has also facility to provide book reservation, holding of books and suggestions of new books in library.

Reference Service:

Library is providing Current Awareness Service (CAS) through Current Journals, Periodicals, Newspaper Clippings and Selective Dissemination Service (SDI) to the students and faculties like periodically notified of new publications, report literature, or other sources of information in subjects in which they have specified an interest.

Online-e-Resource Sharing Centre: (Digital Library)

Library has membership of DELNET, British Council and Harvard Business Review. Students and Faculties use the on-line e-Resources for their projects and theses preparation and presentation.

Inter-Library Loan (ILL): DELNET

The Library arranges books and journals from other libraries through DELNET on Inter Library Loan (ILL). Users may use this facility in case books, journal, article etc are not available in library. Photocopies of research articles are also arranged.

Online Public Access Catalogue –OPAC through KOHA-LMS

The Central Library has facilities to browse their database through Web based online catalogue (KOHA Web OPAC) for bibliographical details http://10.0.24.77/ from intranet.

Digital Library & Wi- Fi Services –

There is a separate air conditioned Digital Library with 15 computers and separate space for laptop users with reserved Wi-Fi access service. The users access E-Journals, E Books, Online lectures and other e-Resources.

Research & Development Section:

The Central Library has a separate Research and Development Section where Phd scholars and faculty members used as a reading room.

Library has membership of Shodhganga & Shodhgangotri-Inflibnet for uploading Phd theses and synopsis.

User Orientation / User Awareness Services -

Central Library organized user awareness service programme for the students and faculties to use the library in every year in the beginning of the session. Apart from this, different topic related to users research / academic work is also covered in this programme from time to time.
